"Finest, whitest sand in the world."

Siesta Key is connected to the mainland by two bridges - the north bridge, Siesta Drive, and the south bridge,Stickney Point. The main road that runs through the island is Midnight Pass. Siesta Key is 8 miles long and full of lush tropical foliage and flowers.

Snowbirds and vacationers flock to Siestay Key to enjoy its miles of wide beaches with the famous powdery snow white sand which was in 1987 judged "The World's Finest and Whitest Beach." Remarkedly, it is cool to the touch even on the hottest of summer days. One can walk for miles, enjoying the beauitful blue-green waters of the Gulf of Mexico. As the beach is on the west side of Florida, one can enjoy spectacular sunsets nightly.

Parking is free at the Siesta Key public beach and Turtle Beach. Siesta Key beach offers many activities fromtennis courts to volley ball, picnic area, playground, trails, a snack bar, gift shop, restrooms. BBQ grills are available.

Turtle Beach is at the sound end of the island. The beach is much
smaller, but many people like the relaxed atmosphere. Restroom and changing facilities are available. Across the street is Turtle's Restaurant where you can sit outside and enjoy the tranquil view of Sarasota Bay.
